Privacy

Last updated: November 3, 2026.

Liberego is built by Marcelo Borges (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) in compliance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018). We do not sell your personal data, run ads, or collect the manuscripts you write in the desktop app.

1. What we collect on the website and why

2. Your manuscripts and shared beta reading

In the Liberego desktop app for Windows, your books live in an encrypted vault on your own computer with no mandatory account. When you use the optional shared beta-reading relay (leitura.liberego.com.br), chapters travel end-to-end encrypted: the decryption key stays in the link you share with your reader so the server never sees your plaintext manuscript.

3. Privacy-preserving website analytics

We use a self-hosted Umami instance (estatisticas.liberego.com.br) to measure aggregate page views and button clicks without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Your browser only stores your chosen site language (liberego-lang).

4. Transactional emails and newsletter

Confirmation and invitation emails are delivered through our authenticated Hostinger mail service. If you subscribe to our newsletter separately, we use two-step confirmation and include an unsubscribe link in every edition.

5. Where data is stored

Form sign-ups and survey responses are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL with encryption in transit, Row-Level Security and restricted administrative access) and on Liberego’s own servers hosted at Hostinger. We never share personal data with data brokers or ad networks.

6. Your data rights and contact

You can ask whether we hold data about you, request a copy, correct inaccuracies, withdraw consent, leave the waitlist or request deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to contato@liberego.com.br.
